Peta Tilden – Manx Park Manager
From an early age Peta Tilden has been involved with horses.
Progressing through Pony Club, into Australian Stock Horses she competed successfully at the Royal Easter Show in Australian Stock Horse categories and was a guest judge at local, country and suburban Sydney shows.

Peta parades the Royal Academy x Snarl filly prior to her
being sold to Woodlands Stud  for  $300,000

She worked for Bill Tilden, her husband Allan’s father for eight years, riding trackwork at Kembla Grange and Bong Bong tracks and was involved with a couple of handy horses at that time one called Tarwell a big old grey gelding who won the Nowra (Voyager Cup) the Canberra (Winter Cup) and the Fishers Ghost Cup in the one calander year. She also rode trackwork on Noble Comment who he ran 2nd in the Melbourne Cup twice.
Allan Tilden is a Master Farrier, who specializes in remedial shoeing, foal leg deviations correction with Dalric Cuffs and who is a qualified AATA “flying groom” travelling overseas frequently with race horses.
Allan provides invaluable professional advice should I have the need to call upon his expertise with any of the horses at Manx Park.
After raising her two sons, Peta returned to full time employment in 1990 when she accepted a position at Cotswold Farm Heathray, Bowral, to look after their broodmares and prepare the yearlings for sale.
Heathray’s owners Ray & Heather Russell sold their property in 1999 and Peta commenced work for Ken Rose, at “Boomerang” in Berrima again working with broodmares, spelling horses, riding trackwork and yearling preparation.
In January 2000 Richard Turnley. President of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association (Aust.) and then owner of Boscabel Stud at Sutton Forest and Manx Park, Moss Vale, offered Peta the position of Manager Manx Park which she accepted and commenced work in February 2000.
April 2004 saw Manx Park sold at auction and purchased by it’s current owner Peter O’Shea who retained Peta as the Manager
Since April 2004 substantial improvements have been made to Manx Park.
New stables, better facilities for the preparation of the yearlings, many more spelling yards, also yards complete with shelter sheds for the large number of agistment racehorses which are now sent from many of Sydney’s leading trainers.
Manx Park has expanded rapidly over the last couple of years and Peta along with Allan Tilden are vital cogs in Manx Park’s attempts to offer top quality services that maximise our clients thoroughbreds prospects of “Racing and Breeding To Win”.
